ARCVS Productions is a small, independent film production company operating out of the Twin Cities area generating original short films for competition and to sate our ceaseless personal callings for creative expression.
Principal photography for "Waking Hour" has finished, and the footage is now in the hands of our new editor for this project, Paul Escalante. We're hoping to have an edit ready in the next two weeks so we can send it off for scoring and sound mixing.
We'd also like to mention that we had the amazing Jayde Delano onboard for this project doing makeup. Jayde didn't make it into the credits for "The Farmer and the Viper" due to an oversight, and we wanted to declare right now that her work on "Waking Hour" is horrifically incredible. Watch for it.
We've completed the "Waking Hour" pre-production photo and video shoot with Charles Hubbell (http://www.charles-hubbell.com) in preparation for the beginning of principal photography this weekend. Look for some photo postings soon.
ARCVS is pleased to announce its newest short film project "Waking Hour," a modern day psychological thriller, which looks to be pushing our filmmaking into uncharted territory. Currently deep in the pre-production phases, principle photography for "Waking Hour" will begin on Friday, March 20th in the Twin Cities area.
Editing on "Toilet Plungers" is in the final stages, and the film should be finalized once the shooting of "Waking Hour" has wrapped. Editing on "The Eternal" will recommence at the same time and hopefully be finished by late spring.
The editing of "Toilet Plungers" has finally resumed. This was a project begun as an entry for the National Film Challenge back in 2007, but due to limited crew and limited time, it was temporarily shelved once the competition ended.
We're also hoping to recommence the post-production of "The Eternal" within the next week. Sadly, this project was filmed the same year "1075" began, way back in the summer of 2006.
The first DVD copies of "1075" are in our hands, and we'll be mailing out copies to our fantastic (and admirably patient) actors, extras, and crew over the next week.
The production cut of "1075" is done! This is a major accomplishment since it means the end (or near end) of a three-year long production. We still want to make some minor changes before entering the film into contests, but for all intents and purposes, this is the final cut. We should have a viewable copy of the film posted on the website in the next few weeks.
The final sound mix of "1075" has been completed. Only a few scattered visual tweakings remain now before the project is finished.
